Paying it Back: Speaking to next-gen creators.
As a graduate of Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD), I was thrilled to be asked to come back and speak with accepted students about my time at the school and my career as a Motion Graphics Designer. It was a true honor to be invited back to the place where I first discovered my passion for “making stuff move” as I call it.
Attending CCAD was a transformative experience for me. It was there that I discovered my desire to become a motion designer and began to develop my skills in the field. I was fortunate enough to have amazing professors who pushed me to excel and challenged me to think outside the box. As well as a great job/platform at the time that allowed me to grow my skills in creating practical content that drove engagement and conversions.
Now, as a Motion Graphic Designer, I'm grateful for the foundation that CCAD provided me with. The skills and knowledge I gained there have been invaluable to my career.
When I was asked to speak with accepted students about my experiences, I was thrilled. It was a chance for me to give back to the school that gave me so much and to inspire the next generation of artists and maybe even Motion Graphic Designers.
I spoke with students about my time at CCAD, the challenges I faced, and the lessons I learned. I talked about my career as a Motion Graphic Designer and what it takes to succeed in the field.
It was an incredible experience to see the passion and enthusiasm of the students. They reminded me of myself when I was in their shoes, eager to learn and hungry to succeed.
Being invited back to CCAD to speak with students was a true honor. It was a chance for me to give back to the school that helped shape me into the person and artist I am today. I hope that I was able to inspire the next generation of Motion Graphic Designers / Artist and give them the tools they need to succeed in this exciting and constantly evolving field.
