Creating Sports Graphics

The Thrill of Custom Sports Graphics and Animations:

At Sam Collins Design, there's nothing I enjoy more than creating custom sports graphics and animations. The dynamic world of sports graphics is a realm of high energy and fast-paced motion, and it's a space that truly ignites my creative spark.

One of the aspects that I find most fascinating about this field is the concept of customizable templates. In the video above, I'm excited to showcase how a template like these two I created in Blender, enables graphic designers to achieve a plethora of unique looks rapidly. It's a game-changer, allowing us to transform 3D base models in the blink of an eye.

In the video demonstration, I illustrate just how quickly we can overlay textures onto a 3D base model that I created inside of Blender. What's even more remarkable is how, in Photoshop, using various material passes and masks output from Blender using .EXR files, we can effortlessly alter the texture, color, and overall mood of the entire piece in mere seconds. This workflow is not only efficient but also remarkably potent, granting complete customization of 3D graphics within the familiar confines of Photoshop.

What's particularly exciting about this approach is that it empowers artists who might not possess the ability to create high-quality 3D renders from scratch. The combination of customizable templates and advanced Photoshop techniques opens up a world of creative possibilities, ensuring that every sports graphic we design is as unique as the team it represents.
